'Beyond' space: Dubai is Star Trek's final frontier

“Space… the final frontier.”

That's perhaps the most famous phrase from the iconic Star Trek TV series (1966), which was later made into a successful movie franchise.

But the only "frontier" separating the "Star Trek Beyond" cast from the UAE was a huge ocean!

A large chunk of the upcoming 2016 movie was filmed in futuristic Dubai. However, when barely any of they city's landmarks made it into the film's first trailer (2015), Star Trek's Dubai fans were immensely disappointed.

But Dubai rejoiced when more of its architecture was featured in the second trailer released on May 20.
