Nelly Karim's appearance on the Rating show this Ramadan might've given viewers the creeps, but not because of what she did or said, Nawaret reported.
The Egyptian actress remained as cool as a cucumber while being interviewed...probably because she didn't know that while she was speaking, a cockroach was crawling around her head!
Kudos to the cameraman, who decided to zoom in on the roach, instead of on Nelly's pretty face. The camera also shows the horrified look on the faces of co-star Dhafer El Abidine and writer Mariam Naoum, who don't dare tell Nelly what's happening. Presenter Wesam Bredy finally steps in to knock the roach off a very confused and clueless Nelly.
Nelly recently appeared in the hard-hitting Ramadan TV series “Taht Al Saytara” (“Under Control”), alongside Dhafer Al-Abdeen and Hany Adel. The series was one of the most-watched of the season, as scriptwriter Mariam Naoum brought a dose of reality to the discussion of drug abuse, addiction, withdrawal and recovery. However, the series was also among the most controversial shows, as it was criticized for "destruction of morality" especially during the holy month.
Involvement in such a heavy project is nothing new for the actress, as she has often rebelled against taking lightweight, seductive roles.
