Electronic giants Depeche Mode have been unveiled as the closing act of this year's F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The UK group will close the entertainment side of the capital's racing extravaganza on Sunday, November 3.
"They have global appeal and appeal to a certain demographic of race goers," said Mike Fairburn, Vice President of marketing and communications at gig organisers FLASH Entertainment. Last year's Grand Prix closing act was rapper Eminem.
Fairburn told 7DAYS at the Arabian Travel market announcement in Dubai on Tuesday: "We always felt Depeche was a great shout this year, it's something different from the hip hop of last year." This year's entertainment schedule will have four nights rather than the usual three, with Arabic singers appearing on the Thursday.
Fairburn said the Friday and Saturday acts at the du arena would be announced "within the coming weeks, if not sooner." He wasn't dropping any hints on who they might be but said: "Our intention is always to provide variety and we will ensure we get that."
