Egyptian actress Wafa Amer broke her foot as a result of a fall that occurred while taking private horseback riding lessons in preparation for her role as Shajarat Al Dur in the new television drama “Al Thaher Baibers.” The drama, directed by Ibrahim Al Sha’rawi, is based on the last historical novel written by the late Taha Shalabi. Despite her injury, Wafa will continue filming the scenes of the drama.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Wafa entered into an agreement with the director, stipulating that she will devote herself exclusively to the drama until she has completed filming the final scenes.

Wafa revealed that she has become very frustrated with the Arabic magazines and newspapers that continue to publish rumors about her personal life that hold no truth to them.

Wafa does not wish to reveal the identity of her husband, claiming it is her private business and finds no need to make a public appearance with him.

Wafa also explained that she will no longer play roles that lack moral character, such as her previous role as a dancer. The actress explained that she made this decision out of respect for her husband and to ensure that her son will grow up morally grounded and proud of his mother's career. She added that she does not deny the roles she has played in the past led the media to classify her as a seductive actress.
