Lebanese singer Dolly Shahine was left standing alone after Canadian-Lebanese singer Nadina left her out in the lurch.
The two singers recorded their duet “Come Together” in Egypt last October, and did a day’s work of filming a music video for it.
But looks like all those efforts have gone down the drain, as Nadina pulled out of the joint project. But hang on a minute, don’t judge the starlet too quickly now.
Nadina wrote to her fans on Facebook explaining what exactly had happened:
“To my fans,
I'm sad to say that the video clip for the duet did not get completed. I put a lot on the line and put my trust in certain people, and even extended my stay an extra month taking myself away from my family for the holidays and put off performances and appearances in Canada to try to get this video done for you. Unfortunately there were a lot of serious legal, financial, unprofessional and filming issues that arose and it just can't be completed even though I gave it everything until the absolute last minute before my flight. I paid my dues but things didn't pan out as promised. However, I want you to know that I will always love this country and love all my fans here. Thank you to everyone who supported me here. I am looking forward to returning in the near future.
Love to you all.
xoxo
Nadina”
According to Elaph news, a financial dispute broke out between Nadina and director Bakhous Ilwan, Dolly’s husband, which was the main reason for not completing the music video. Nadina has since returned to Canada.
