ALBAWABA - The UK's Domino's Pizza X account recently sparked debate on social media after mocking God of War: Laufey following its announcement during Sony's June 2026 State of Play.

The official account wrote, "God of War game with no Kratos = Pepperoni Passion with no pepperoni." While the game has received praise among fans for its gameplay fluidity and graphics, several alt-right accounts complained about the lack of Kratos in the title, despite it being a spin-off about Faye, Kratos' late wife and Atreus' mother.

In response, developer Santa Monica Studio wrote to Domino's, "Ok thanks for the feedback, Domino's Pizza corporate account."

The internet beef also drew reactions from fans of the beloved franchise. One social media user wrote on X, "The beef shouldn't even be a thing, why can't people handle a woman being a lead in a video game?? She's a character that should have some focus, she's Kratos's wife and Atreus's mother."

Another added, "I’m tired of 'quirk chungus le relatable' corporate twitter accounts. If I can go back in time and shoot the Wendy’s employee who came up with that sh*t I would."

One more stated further, "this beef has more flavor than domino's pizza."

Even the original creator of God of War, David Jaffe, compared the upcoming game to Forspoken and called it "dead." This comes after a jelly-like cube named Frank (Phranque) appeared in the trailer.

God of War: Laufey received a 20-minute uninterrupted gameplay trailer showcasing a snippet of the game's combat, storyline, and characters. American actress Deborah Ann Woll will play and voice Faye, while Frank will be voiced by American actor Jack Quaid.
