Syrian singer Asala apologized to legendary fellow Syrian star Duraid Lahham last week after years of not talking to one another.

The two were split by their political stance on the ongoing Syrian war and President Bashar al Assad's politics.

"I'm sorry for what I said to you my dear father, my great uncle, legendary artist Duraid Lahham. Yes 'father,' I don't agree with your views on our country Syria, but I owe you so much, and despite forgetting that at the beginning of our feud, I haven't forgotten it now," Asala had written in a public apology letter on Instagram.

"You can't imagine how much I miss you and miss you listening to me sing. One one my biggest wishes is for us to meet again and go back to our simple, pure and deep conversations, under the umbrella of love and art, away from dispute and disagreement, for what bring us together is much more everlasting and classy than what made us fall out."

Laha Magazine called the actor to see where he stands on Asala's heartfelt apology, but they didn't get the answer any of us were hoping for.

"I refuse to comment on this matter, neither positively nor negatively," Lahham told the magazine.

Looks like these two still have a long way to go before hanging out together again!
