In an attempt to lessen the popularity of female singer, who use seduction and inappropriate means in their music videos to gain fame, a number of Egyptian newspapers have decided to stop publishing articles about them. The Egyptian newspapers Al Kawakib and Al Nogoom have announced that they will no longer make any mention of female singers like Ruby, Najla, and the likes in any of their articles, because writing about them only brings them more popularity and is a form of advertising for them.

According to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />London based Elaph, the newspapers have called on the media to do the same and completely ban provocative singers to stop bringing them popularity and to just completely ignore them. Despite the move that has begun by Al Nogoom and Al Kawakib, the latter had on the same day of making its announcement published an article about controversial singer Ruby, which consists of an interview held with her and her business manager Sharif Sabri.

In the interview Ruby had revealed that there are no disputes between her and her sister Kooky, and that her family approves of her work despite what many may state. She added that she does not waste her time reading articles about her whether they were good or bad. The singer added that she does not make friends with people in the entertainment world.

On the other hand, Sharif stressed that he is not married to Ruby and he never bought her an apartment, but rather her production company did. Sharif added that Ruby still has many hidden talents and all the newspapers that have claimed her voice is not fit for singing have hearing problems.

Rumors of marriage between the two were created after Sherif bought a new fancy apartment for Ruby in a prestigious neighborhood in Egypt. Sherif’s action led people to the conclusion that he plans on marrying Ruby and that he bought her the new apartment as a wedding present. The producer stressed that there are no such plans to marry the singer and that he bought the apartment because as her business manager he feels it is essential that he looks after her properly.

Sherif added that Ruby has been through a lot of hardships in the past and is in dire need of living in a place where she can relax and find peace of mind. Sherif added that the thought of marrying Ruby had never crossed his mind or even hers, stressing that their relationship is based on friendship and mutual respect.
