Renowned Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq has announced that an Arab music company wants to pay him three million pounds for the rights to his new album, according to the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.

Tawfiq denied that he was talking to a new music company because of differences with the current one because of differences over his pay increase to over one million pounds for his new album Habib Al Qalb (Sweetheart).

The current company’s execs said that Habib Al Qalb did not generate revenues like the previous one, Sahrani (Captivating Me), which has angered the singer.

Tawfiq is reportedly particularly miffed over the failure of the company to fulfill its alleged commitment to give him part of the earnings from album sales - Albawaba.com
