Elin Khalaf Records Song by Egypt’s 16-Year-Old Poet

Lebanese singer Elin Khalaf has finished recording her recent album, which carries the title of the song Azz Alei (It Saddened Me), which was written by the youngest Egyptian poet, 16-year-old Nour. 

The song was put to music by Ashraf Salem, who also composed the classic song Hawalt Ansak (I Tried to Forget You) written by Sami Al Ajami, according to the daily Al Sharq Al Awsat. 

The album also includes the song Wala Wala Kan (It Has Never Been), written by Ili Bitar. 

Khalaf is currently filming a video for the song Azz Alei, directed by Salim Al Tork, who previously directed the song Lali Leh from her last album. 

The Lebanese singer plans to leave Cairo next month to perform one of the City Lights concerts in Beirut – Albawaba.com
