French film stars Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu attended a fashion show in the Romanian capital Sunday to help raise funds for the building of a rehabilitation center for drug addicts.
Deneuve also visited a center for Romanian orphans in the company of Dana Nastase, wife of Prime Minister Adrian Nastase.
Mrs Nastase, who sponsored the Bucharest fashion show, also dedicated some of the funds to the care of children from impoverished families.
Consumption of illegal drugs has skyrocketed in Romania over the last decade while there is still only one clinic where suitable treatment is available -- AFP
