A new teaser for the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon show was released this Tuesday.

House of the Dragon is a prequel show set two centuries before the events of the original Game of Thrones series.

The show was first announced two years ago and is based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire and Blood, a book that centers around the history of the Targaryen family and is set two centuries before the events of the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, which Game of Thrones was based on.

In the almost 1 minute trailer, a voiceover can be heard saying: “Gods. Kings. Fire. And blood.

“Dreams didn’t make us kings. Dragons did.”

Game of Thrones ran on HBO from 2011 to 2019, becoming one of the most popular drama series in the world at the time of its airing.

The new sequel  features new cast members including Wil Johnson as Ser Vaemond Velaryon, John Macmillan as Ser Laenor Velaryon, Savannah Steyn as Lady Laena Velayron, and Theo Nate as Ser Laenor Velaryon.

House of the Dragon is slated to premiere in 2022.
