A couple of days ago, prominent Syrian singer George Wassouf made his first public appearance on the satellite television channel OTV and assured his fans that his health condition, which had deteriorated severely, is now stable.
George was filmed at the hospital where he is currently resuming treatment. Journalist Nishan held the exclusive interview with George and the singer had agreed to the interview due the fact that Nishan is a very close friend of his and had accompanied him throughout his ordeal at the hospital.
The singer said that his health is gradually improving and he is receiving the best treatment and hopes that he will be able to leave the hospital in the nearest time to return to his fans. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who checked up on him and wished him a speedy recovery whether it was political figures, businesspeople or his fans.
George talked about his last music video for the song “BIhsidooni” (They envy me), which was directed by Mirna Khayat and coincidently began airing at the same time he was admitted to the hospital.
The singer was admitted to hospital after he encountered a brain stroke and fell into a coma. The singer is said to be currently half paralyzed, but doctors have assured that he is gradually improving. It is not known how long George will remain in hospital.
