George Wassouf has come under fire for, erm, eating sushi this week!
The troubled Syrian star posted pictures of himself enjoying a huge boat of sushi, which didn't go down too well with some of his fans.
Social media cynics deemed the photos as "patronising" and "insensitive to the starving Syrian people."
Their comments stated that it is inappropriate for George to gloat about an expensive meal while his people are going through tough times due to the unstable political conditions in Syria.
In fact, only this week did the starving Syrian town of Madaya come to international attention after its residents posted pictures of their severely malnourished bodies on social media.
According to Vox news, there are no more cats and dogs left in the town because the residents had to use them as a food source. At least 23 people died from starvation.
The town was under siege following orders from Syrian President Bashar al Assad. The siege ended on Monday as aid trucks were permitted to enter the town under an international agreement.
Calling George a bad apple is unfair. His critics shouldn't have quickly forgotten that only a few days earlier the new dad donated enough money for a 5-year-old child to undergo lifesaving heart surgery.
