Egyptian actress Ghada Adel has denied news reports that she will costar with Egyptian actress Nelly Karim in the new television drama "Imra'atan" (Two Women) that is directed by Majdi Abu Ameereh.
Ghada said that she saw the news in the newspaper and was just as surprised as her fans reading it!
The actress told Laha Magazine that she had never been offered the role or even shown the script for the show -- adding the same goes for her alleged participation in the drama "Umm Ali". Also directed by Majdi Abu Ameereh, Ghada told Laha that although the director has nominated her for a role in the drama, she had not yet seen the script.
Ghada stated she wishes to work with Majdi again, especially after their cooperation in the drama "Qalb Mayet" (Lifeless Heart), which achieved tremendous success.
According to Laha, Ghada revealed that her recent absence from the big screen -- she hasn't been on film since her last cinema project with Egyptian comedian actor Ahmed Helmy in the film "Ala Jithti" (Over My Dead Body) -- is because she had not found a project that interested her.
But fear not Ghada fans! The Egyptian beauty said she is still infatuated with the film industry and hopes to return to it as soon as possible.
The actress revealed that she is on the verge of completing the filming of all her scenes in the new television drama "Makan Fil Qasr" (A Place in the Palace). She added that she does not know if the new drama will be aired soon, or will be postponed until Ramadan 2014.
Either way, it'll be a while before we see Ghada gracing our televisions. But at least she'll be back!
