Despite the success the Egyptian comic play (Tara’eeo) is witnessing these days, prominent Egyptian actress Ghada abdul Raziq decided to withdraw. The Egyptian comedy has been facing many problems since it was released a couple of seasons ago and the producers tried more than once to overcome the occurring problems but were unable to solve anything.
After the withdrawal of the famous singer Midhat Saleh from the play last summer, Mahmoud El Jundi came in to save the situation, but this time the problem was with the feminine side of the stars. Ghada started directly after Ramadan (Muslim month of fasting) making complains about the poor publicity for her role in the play and asked for a raise in her wage, claiming that she is not less than her colleague Hanan Turk who had bigger photos, more publicity and a higher wage.
A confidential meeting was held between the prominent comedian actor Mohammed Hineidi who is the male star of the play, and the producer Wael Abdullah, the meeting lasted for two hours and they were not able to reach a solution regarding Ghada’s demands.
The comedy play is starred by Hineidi, Hanan Turk, Ghada, and Mahmoud El Jundi and directed by Sameer Asfori, and has been one of the most successful plays for the past year. Information leaked that there has been exaggerations about the real profits of the play while it's much less than it has been rumored.
The new actress who is expected to replace Ghada is the young Ola Ghanem who is witnessing a great deal of success after her role in the TV drama "Ta’ala Nehlam Bi Bokra" (lets dream about tomorrow), and her success in the cinema movie (Sahar El Laiali).
The Egyptian Censorship Committee had complained about one of the scenes in the Ramadan TV drama series series "Mas'alit Mabda" (A Matter of Principle), which starred Ghada Abdul Riziq. The drama featured a dance scene that is too seductive and intimidating. The committee stressed that such a scene is very inappropriate especially during the holy month of Ramadan and therefore they demanded that it be removed.
It was revealed that a number of viewers had also objected to several other scenes in the drama played by Ghada, especially the scene of her in a swimming suit walking by the pool. Director Khairy Bushara, underwent his first television directing experience, after experiencing a long line of success in cinema production, in the new TV series "Mas'alit Mabda" (A Matter of Principle) staring Ghada. The new drama revolves around the issue of illegal weapon smuggling, terrorism, and the increase of violence in one of Egypt's rural areas.
The drama also tackled an incident of killing tourists by some of the locals which lead to an outbreak in the community. Khairi is to begin shooting the scenes for the drama in October after the script and cast are finalized. The story is written by Mohammad Safa Amer and is to costar Riyadh Al Khouly, Abo Baker Izzat, Mona Shalabi, and Hisham Salim. - Albawaba.com
