One of the Four Cats, star Dalida Shama'i, and the Lebanese singer/songwriter Ghassan Elias Rahbani have finally tied the knot after a seven- year engagement, at the Lebanese mountain city of Kurnet Shahwan last week.
The London-based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, reported Saturday that the stars' wedding marked an original and unique event, with Dalida's "strange" wedding dress and Ghassan's informal outfit.
It was reported that Dalida appeared in a white leather dress with a silk embroidering, and an embroidered leather hat instead of the veil. As for Ghassan, he appeared in a black leather suit and a black shirt with no tie.
The wedding (which did not witness the attendance of Ghassan's late uncle's wife, Fairuz, and her son) was attended by the entire Rahbani family, as well as former Lebanese President, Amin Jmaiel and his son Pierre Jmaiel.
Frequently referred to as the "Arab Spice Girls", the Four Cats began in Lebanon in the late 90s with renewed songs from the Lebanese Folklore. – Albawaba.com
