She is best known for rocking the runway in her day job as a supermodel.

But Gigi Hadid has added a new skill to her repertoire.

The 21-year-old showed off her fantastic figure in five different outfits on Sunday night for her hosting duties at the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, Canada.

The older sister of Bella Hadid started out the night by scintillating in a matching shiny patterned silver crop top and trousers combination.

Her svelte model frame and toned abs were on full display in the revealing number as she opened up the show by saying: 'I had to come back to my favorite award show and host!'

She later called up Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale as they announced a performance by newcomer Alessia Cara. (AFP/Ernesto Distefano)

The nepotistically-privileged socialite then changed into Dion Lee's resort 2017 black laced coil wetsuit and glove thigh-high boots.

She was definitely the hostess with the mostess at the event in Toronto, Canada as she followed in the footsteps of gal pals Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who hosted the same programme back in 2014.

The first award given out was Most Buzzworthy International Artist Or Group as Fifth Harmony took it home.

The annual event honours Canada's top musical artists much like MTV's Video Music Awards as there are several alike categories including Video Of The Year and Best MuchFact Video.

Drake racked up the most wins at the event with five including three for his Hotline Bling video in the Video Of The Year, Best Director and Best Hip-Hop Video categories.

Newcomer Alessia Cara trailed behind the 29-year-old Toronto-native rapper with nods as she went head-to-head with Drake in the Video Of The Year and Most Buzzworthy Canadian categories.

A great moment came toward the end of the show when the 19-year-old singer took home the Best New Canadian gong as she said: 'It's so amazing to be embraced by my hometown. Thank you so much. I have so many people to thank.'

She continued: 'Everyone who has ever supported me, my fans you feel more like friends to me. You guys make me feel like my job isn't my job, more like something I want to do the rest of my life. I love you.

'One more thing, I couldn't be prouder to be Canadian in music because I've been all over the world now and the number one question I get asked is "What's in the water in Canada?" So congratulations to all of the other artists.'

Girl group Fifth Harmony had a fantastic showing as they took the coveted awards in the Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group and Fan Fave International Artist or Group categories.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were also big winners as they took home the Best Pop Video and Fan Fave Video trophies for their I Know What You Did Last Summer collaboration.

Justin Bieber may be a Canadian superstar but it was only enough to earn him three nominations as he came away with the Fan Fave Artist or Group gong.

Gigi's on/off boyfriend Zayn was also in consideration for two gongs including iHeartRadio International Artist Of The Year and Most Buzzworthy International Artist Or Group but did not appear at the event.

There were reports that the older sister of Bella and 23-year-old former One Direction member had split but were recently seen making separate exits from Gigi's New York apartment recently.

The night featured performances from Desiigner, Hedley, James Bay, Shawn Mendes, July Talk, Fifth Harmony, Tegan and Sara and Hailee Steinfeld featuring Shawn Hook.
