Young Egyptian actress Dunia Masoud should have known better than to offend her fans with a "tattoo against God"!
Masoud posted a picture of her bare back with a large Arabic tattoo on it which read, "My heart's feud is with God."
The controversial ink work arguably implies that Dunia is an atheist or at least doesn't believe in any of the three holy books. Atheism is prohibited by law in Egypt and is certainly not considered a "freedom of choice."
Talk show host Tamer Amin commented on Dunia's controversial post saying, "I'm against what she has done, however, she's free to do whatever she wants, just as I am free to be a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or even an atheist," reported Al Watan Voice.
Many Arabs in the Middle East take a keen interest in a celebrity's faith, especially if they are Christian.
Last Easter, Lebanese stars Nancy Ajram, Nicole Saba, Cyrine Abdel Nour and Najwa Karam were cyber attacked for celebrating Jesus by posting a picture of the cross along with Christian prayers on their social media accounts.
What will happen to the tatt should Dunia find God again?
