Every year disputes between stars in the entertainment world occur over comments made publicly. Most of the disputes that have risen to the surface have dealt with female singers and actresses making remarks about one another’s appearances.

One of the disputes that occurred was between Lebanese singers Haifa Wahbi and Nancy Ajram. It was revealed that Nancy had said that Haifa constantly undergoes lip enlargements and 'stuffs' them with silicon. Nancy also stressed that Haifa is not the least bit a talented singer and should reduced to sing with immature individuals. Haifa was in shock when she heard of Nancy’s comments and accused her of using her body and seductive movements, rather than her voice, to gain popularity.

Nancy also opened fire on Lebanese and Gulf female singers accusing them of being 'very' jealous of her and of the success she has accomplished that has, according to her, "forced them to remain at home," reported the daily Al Rai Al Aam

A dispute between Syrian singers Mayada Al Hinawi and Asalah Nasri was another highlight this past year, when the latter accused Mayada of being an old woman and recommeded she retire and stay at home. These remarks enraged Mayada, who in turn, accused Asalah of being a very negative person who is jealous of anyone who is better than her.

In Egypt a dispute had risen between actresses Nadia Al Jundi and Elham Shahin over the Oscar Award Nadia had won for best female actress. Elham accused Nadia of manipulating the judging committee into giving her the Oscar, and that it was not given based on her acting capabilities.

The war between stars of the entertainment will surely witness the rise of new battles in the upcoming New Year. Singers and actors have become accustomed to these disputes and have usually refrained from making mends with those they are in arguments with. The friction in most cases had led to harsh words being said and enemies created. –Albawaba.com
