Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi recently appeared as a guest of honor at a ceremony held by the Cartier International Group in Abu Dhabi to launch their new line of jewelry called ‘La Dona Cartier.’

According to the London based Elaph, the successful event was held at the Emirates Palace and featured over 250 VIPs from ‘Studio Cartier.’

On a different note, song writer Sameer Al Taer has submitted a complaint to the Music Composers and Writers Association accusing Haifa, writer Nader Abdullah, and the singer’s production company of stealing the title of his song “Ghairt Hayati” (I changed my life).

Sameer claims that he wrote and titled the song especially for prominent Syrian singer Mayada Al Hinawi, who originally sang it over ten years ago.

Sameer stated that Haifa and Nader were very daring when they used his song title, stressing that his rights should be protected.  Sameer will take legal action against Haifa.
