The rumor mill has been in full swing recently following Hannan Turk’s shock decision to quit acting, which allegedly comes as a result of her secret marriage to Islamic preacher Amro Khaled.
The Egyptian star announced her resignation during a phone interview with Lebanese TV host Nishan. She said that she has decided to devote her life to worshipping God and revealed plans to open a mall and café for women wearing the hijab.
Since then a number of news sources have claimed that her relationship with the preacher is the real reason behind her resignation.
Khaled allegedly proposed to the actress after she joined his ‘Id’ey’ (Pray) campaign. Word has it that he told Turk her career would get in the way of their relationship.
Turk is yet to comment on these rumours.
