The Syrian director Hatem Ali's decision to stop working on the drama "Raghem Al Furak" (Despite the Breakup) is causing a crisis with the production team. The move has also forced Egyptian actress Zaina pull the highly anticipated show from this year's Ramadan drama marathon.

The crew of the drama are rumored to be panicked by Hatem's choice to walk away as it is prime season for making shows for the dramathon and directors are increasingly difficult to hire.

According to Sayidaty.net, the Syrian director was also contracted to work on another drama, "Taht Al Ard" (Underground) starring Amir Kararah and Amal Boushusha.

Hatem's decision to halt work on "Raghem Al Furak" is cloaked in mystery, but rumors are pointing to the increasing popularity of the star of Hatem's new drama, Amir Kararah, which has sky-rocketed since last year's Ramadan drama marathon, and the Syrian director wanting to be associated with a winning drama for this years season.
