Former Miss Egypt Hiba Al Saisi will not be hosting the popular television program Superstar 3, which is scheduled to be aired in September on the Lebanese satellite network Future.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, program spokesperson Rola Nasr asserted that Hiba’s contract with the channel had ended in June and she did not wish to renew it due to her acting commitments in Egypt.
Hiba had signed the contract under the impression that the program would be aired in February, but the assassination of the former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Al Hariri altered all scheduled programming.
For the past few months, Hiba and Aiman Al Kasouni, who has hosted Superstar for the past three seasons, toured the Arab world and abroad to nominate contestants.
Hiba was originally chosen as a replacement for Jordanian singer Rania Al Kurdi, who was a host for the past two seasons.
Hiba recently began her acting career, taking the leading role in the new play “In Kibir Ibnak” (When your child grows up).
The cast of the play, a musical comedy about the parent child relationship, includes Sami Al Adel, Mohammad Najati, Du’aa Hijazi, and a number of new faces.
