Egyptian singer Hisham Abbas has dug deep into his own pockets to produce the cash needed to fund his long awaited come-back album after splitting from record label 'Alam El Phan', according to MBC.net.
The past few years haven't been easy for Abbas - after cutting ties with his label, he claims that a number of production companies added inult to injury by making him offers that he felt were beneath his star status leaving him no choice but to turn them down.
Absent from the scene since his last album in 2009, Abbas had to postpone the new record several times because of the political conditions in Egypt.
Let's hope he has more luck with the release!
Do you think Abbas' independently funded album will be a success?
