Cairo Economic Court decided last Monday to postpone the trial of Sama Al-Masri in a new case of "incitement to immorality and debauchery," until July 27.
Sama has already been charged with 3 years of imprisonment and a 300,000-pound fine.
After the court session has been postponed, Al-Masri gave her first press statement to youm7.com
She said: "I apologize to all people for everything that happened, I didn’t mean anything by these videos, and I had no bad intention whatsoever."
Al-Masri added: "All what happened is that I was thinking I was living my life normally on social media like everyone else, I didn't know that my swimming video is going to cause me this much trouble."
Sama concluded her statements asking people for forgiveness by saying: "I ask people and my fans not to be upset with me, and God willing he will help me and anyone in distress, and I wish you would keep remembering me, thank you."
