The famous Syrian actor revealed that he will be participating in a combination of an Italian/Arabic film that is called “Al Marid” (The Follower). At the same time announcing this he refuses to work with anyone that hurts Islam or says anything bad about it like the film “Munich” which focuses on the Arab Israeli conflict.
Suleiman made clear that the new film “Al Marid” will reveal a new viewpoint of Islam where it will talk about the social equality and the communications between other religions. Suleiman will take the role of a Muslim Arab Physic Scholar and that he works with a Christian student.
On the other hand Suleiman made sure that he refuses any project that hurts says bad things about any gender, race or religion in any community. He said that art and acting should be a mean that brings people together and have more understanding of other culture and should not be used to generate hate amongst people with different backgrounds.
Art is a noble and humane mean of communication and it should be used wisely, added Suleiman.
