The seventh installment in the Fast & Furious film franchise chose the epic sand dunes of Abu Dhabi as one of its choice locations. The movie is slated for release next month after having just premiered last week at a secret SXSW midnight screening for the actors and other VIP to see. The rest of us action flick junkies are left with only the teaser to hold us over until its cinema appearance on April 3rd.

Stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, and the late Paul Walker are seen in the exotic Emirates as cars are dropped thousands of feet from an airplane in perhaps the franchise's most outrageous stunt yet. The film's bad boy Jason Statham, who is known for performing his own stunts, shared his sadness of not accompanying the "Furious 7" crew to the Emirate capital.

In an interview with Raya on MBC, Statham said that all of his scenes as the antagonist opposite Vin Diesel were filmed in closed locations to enable the movie makers to perform dangerous scenes efficiently and without risk. Statham's character Deckard Shaw seeks his revenge for the death of his brother in a previous sequel.
