ALBAWABA - American rapper and record producer Jay-Z took the internet by storm after standing up for his wife and fellow artist Queen Bee (Beyonce) and throwing shade at the Grammys as users on social media called his speech a "Kanye moment."

Users took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to state that Kanye West was "never wrong" about Beyonce but his delivery wasn't well thought out and came out as disrespectful, referring to when the rapper ambushed Taylor Swift's acceptance speech or Video of the Year at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Jay-Z was nominated and came top as the winner of the "Dr. Dre Global Impact" Grammy Award as he took to the stage alongside his daughter Blue Ivy to receive the reward. Moreover, the iconic rapper had a thing or two in mind for the Grammys and stated:

"When I Get Nervous, I Tell the Truth." Referring to the Grammys giving Beyonce multiple awards but never "Album of the Year."

He continued:

A user on X quoted the rapper and stated that the Grammys haven't given a Hip Hip record the album of the year since the legendary OutKast, which was viewed as "unfair and unacceptable" among fans of the genre.

The rapper then looked at his wife and said:

"I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The Most Grammys never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work."
