Lebanese singer Juana Malah is in mourning over the death of her friend and song composer Riyad Al Shamari. Before he passed away, Riyad composed four songs, which she included in her most recent album.
Two of the songs he composed were “you will stay in my heart,” and “keep me closer to you.” The late Riyad al Shamari was supposed to compose the songs for her next album.
Aside from their business relationship, Riyad was like a father and councilor to Juana. He protected her from the world she lives in which is filled with wolves.
The singer has taken time away from her career and is staying with Al Shamari's family to help them get through these hard times.
To honor her late friend Juana wrote a good-bye letter:
“In The Name Of God the Merciful the Compassionate
Riyad I am afraid that my weak and small heart won’t be able to say good-bye and that I won’t be seeing you forever again. I ask God why he took you away from me because you were my father, my brother and my friend. The only thing that makes me accept your death is the fact that we are all going to die one day, yet if you only knew how great my loss is.
Our trip together was very short, loosing you I feel like I lost one of my senses. With what should I call you my teacher? You left an empty place in my heart, yet I won’t be able to forget you all my life.
Yes I am angry, but I truly believe in God’s will.”
