ALBAWABA - After receiving a cancer diagnosis, Kate Middleton made yet another public appearance on Sunday when she went to see the men's singles final at Wimbledon.
Kate Middleton made her second public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. She made her last appearance at the green square.
Following the conclusion of the men's singles competition at Wimbledon on Sunday, the Princess of Wales, who is also the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, was there to see the match between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, who were competing for the title of champion.
Those present in the stadium greeted 42-year-old Kate with a wave of applause and a standing ovation as she made her way to her place inside the Royal Box in Center Court to watch the match.
Princess Charlotte, nine years old and the daughter of Kate and Prince William, was there on this particular occasion. As she entered the room, she was standing behind her mother. While Pippa Middleton was watching the sport, Kate and Charlotte Middleton sat next to each other and engaged in conversation.
Kate Middleton, the patron of the All England Tennis and Croquet Club, has broken this rule twice. Since her marriage to Prince William in 2011, she has maintained a consistent attendance record at the Wimbledon Championships. However, she did not attend this year's tournament due to the fact that she is undergoing treatment for cancer, and she also did not attend last year's competition. In 2013, she was also away from work. At the time, she was pregnant with Prince George, and the doctor had advised her to take some time off before childbirth.
