While the entire Kardashian clan are laying low after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris last week, rumor has it that her half sister Kendall Jenner is continuing her life as normal after being spotted in Dubai on Sunday.
A photograph of the teen supermodel surfaced on social media yesterday, where she was seen wearing a niqab while sightseeing in Dubai.
British tabloid newspaper The Sun suspects that the photo - posted by DJ Neptune, the CEO of UAE-based celebrity management company Next Class Agency - was photoshopped to make it look like Kendall was sporting the Muslim attire.
The photo, which was posted to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook with the caption “Sightseeing with @KendallJenner in Dubai. #UltimatePrivacy #AngelInDisguise,” has over 1000 likes on Instagram.
On Twitter, the 20-year-old model was slammed "for wearing the inappropriate attire, considered it culturally disrespectful and found it insensitive to women who are penalised and persecuted for wearing it," reports The Sun.
Some of the tweets read:
“When a muslim woman wears a hijab she’s humiliated judged and called a terrorist but when its rich skinny white kendall jenner its ok”
@KendallJenner but wearing a hijab to go ‘under cover’ is f***ing disgusting and disrespectful to that culture.”
“When a Muslim woman wear hijab , she’s a terrorist & get attacked for doing this, but when kendall jenner wears it its cool right?
Meanwhile, Palestinian-Dutch model Gigi Hadid's fans were wondering if her bestie Kendall is in town to join her at the Dubai Mall, where she will be presenting her capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger, TommyXGigi.
Gigi will meet fans at 4pm today, while 30 very lucky fans will be selected to meet and greet the gorgeous 21-year-old.
