It's been almost two years since she was bound and robbed of her jewelry at gunpoint in Paris.

And Kim Kardashian was back in the French capital on Thursday, as she posed up a storm with husband Kanye West at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2019 show held at Parisien Palais Royal during Paris Fashion Week.

A source close to the reality TV star told People the 37-year-old reality TV star 'is much more careful about being flashy' and not wearing any more jewelry than a simple wedding band during her European trip out of fear she might be robbed again.

According to the gossip site, Kim 'no longer keeps jewelry in the house or wears her best jewels to appearances.'

'She doesn’t wear expensive jewelry every day, so it makes no sense to keep it at the house. Kim is trying to eliminate as many concerns as possible,' a source told People.

The couple's surprise appearance in Paris marks Kim's first time back in the city since she was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week two years ago, making her decision to go jewelry-free in the city understandable.

In October 2016 Kim faced a terrifying ordeal when she awoke in the couple's Paris apartment to find five masked men in her home.

The gang bound and gagged the mother-of-three before making off with $10m worth of jewelry.

In the aftermath of the robbery Kim vowed not to return to Paris. Discussing a court appearance regarding the crime on her hit show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she told friends when asked if she'd return to Paris: 'Not any time soon. I don't wanna go any time soon. Maybe in five, six, seven or ten years time.

Of her eldest daughter, she added 'North has pyjamas with the Eiffel Tower on it and she's always asking for me to take her. And I will, one day. It'll be hard, but I'll do it - for her. But I don't want to do it any time soon'.

Kim was brave enough to make her return to the fashion capital on Thursday though, with her husband by her side.

For the show from one of the couple's favourite design houses, the star recycled her new favourite item of spandex shorts underneath a very bold turquoise jacket.

Kim was hard to miss in her bold pop of colour, layering her bulky jacket over her new favourite trend of tight black shorts.

She showed off her tanned legs under the skimpy look, accentuating her pins further with strappy black heels.

The style icon completed her look with dark statement shades, while her long dark locks were left crimped and cascading down over her shoulders.

Kanye also stood out with his bird motif sweater, with the blue colour coordinating with Kim's choice of colour.

The sweater was dotted with slogans including the words 'there is only freedom' running up the rapper's arm. He finished off his look with tracksuit pants and sneakers.

The husband and wife style team both broke out their best pouts and fierce poses before taking their seats in the star-studded front row alongside Rihanna, Bella Hadid and Kim's sister Kylie Jenner.

Kylie - who recently gave birth to her first child Stormi in February - ensured all eyes were on her as she slipped into a daring shell-suit.

Channeling 80s chic, the beauty mogul's bold ensemble turned heads with its neon yellow scheme, tied in with a trendy hood and zip-up features as she took her seat along with boyfriend Travis Scott and best friend Jordyn Wood.

Held at the Parisien Palais Royal. It's the first Men’s Spring-Summer 2019 Fashion Show arranged by Louis Vuitton’s new men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh, a personal and professional friend of Kanye, who has worked with the rapper and designer since 2002.

An emotional Kanye broke down with Virgil as the long-time pals shared a hug at the close of the show.

The Chicago-born designer started working with Kanye in the early noughties and the pair interned together at Fendi in 2009, the same year that Abloh also took on the role of artistic director for Donda.

Rihanna was also among the celeb fashion fans to enjoy Abolh's debut, and had clearly got the style memo, arriving in a white version of Kylie's boiler suit.

The 30-year-old Bajan beauty's simplistic plunging one-piece teased at her cleavage and intricate tattoo. Her striking white look swamped her enviable curves as she arrived to the star-studded show carrying a clear holdall back in her manicured hand.

The Man Down songstress created shape to the purposely baggy garment with a chic bum bag by the French design house which she wrapped around her waist.
