ALBAWABA - King Charles III will celebrate his 76th birthday by establishing two centers that will distribute enormous amounts of leftover food to food banks, schools, and community centers.
His Coronation Food Project, which aims to better utilize food that would otherwise be thrown away, is currently in its most recent phase.
By visiting a new food hub in south London and hosting a virtual opening ceremony for another in Merseyside, the King is treating his birthday as a workday.
The King enjoyed a little glitz on Wednesday ahead of his birthday when he attended the Gladiator II premiere.
Queen Camilla is recuperating from a chest ailment; therefore, she was unable to attend the screening.
When Denzel Washington met King Charles III on Wednesday at the London premiere of "Gladiator II," he made a royal gaffe.
The 69-year-old star of "Equalizer 3" went to the premiere with his co-stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Sir Ridley Scott, the director of "Gladiator II," and King Charles.
The movie's stars waited in line on the red carpet to meet the sovereign before entering the cinema, as is customary at royal premieres.
After speaking with Scott, 86, and Mescal, 28, the "Training Day" actor appeared nervous and told King Charles he wasn't sure how to greet him.
To Washington's relief, the King seemed to offer the actor a handshake.
As they shook hands, Washington smiled and said, "I wasn't sure if I was supposed to grab your hand or not."
Charles then questioned Washington on his portrayal of the evil Macrinus in "Gladiator II."
"I'm just a terrible... You'll see, I'm a pretty man," Washington remarked mockingly. "I'm a good guy."
King Charles then informed Washington, "You've been in so many films; that's fantastic."
Washington said, "Thank you, thank you," in gratitude.
