According to the London daily Elaph, the famous Egyptian actress Laila Elwi is now in Ottawa Canada to be present at the award ceremony where she will be awarded for two of her cinema films. The Canadian Film College will be screening for the first time Egyptian films and two of Elwi’s films will be included.
The first time to be screened is “Hob Al Banat” (The Love Of Girls) and the second is “Alwan Al Sama Al Sabiah” (The Color Of The Seventh Sky). There will be a celebration after the screening and a presentation of Elwi’s acting journey of 30 years of giving.
Elwi will be back in Cairo at the beginning of October in order to be present at other awards ceremonies held in Tunisia and Morocco especially after the success of her last television drama series “Hikayat Bin’ishha” (Stories We Live Through) which was aired on television the past Ramadan season.
On the other hand, the “MBC” channel has started airing the first 15 episodes of the drama series “Hikayat Bini’ishha” where the first 15 episodes are called “Hala Wel Mistakhabi” (Hala and what is hidden). The second part of the series is called “Majnoon Laila” (Obsessed with Laila) and that as well is another 15 episodes.
Elwi got many positive critics for her drama series “Hikayat Bin’ishha” because she proved to everyone that it is possible for a drama series of just 15 episodes to be successful. Elwi also received the title of best actress for the past Ramadan season by many critics.
