Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred has finally gone head to head in court with Lauria Prioul, who has accused him of "aggravated rape" in October 2016.
Lamjarred has been locked up in the Fleury-Mérogis Prison in Paris since then, pending a decision regarding his controversial case.
French online newspaper H24info claims that Judge Martine Mazi Berthod has ruled to keep Lamjarred in pre-trial detention following his court hearing with the plaintiff on Friday (3 March).
Lamjarraed's parents confirmed that the court hearing has indeed taken place, adding that they only learned about it two days prior to it taking place.
Mr. and Mrs. Lamjarred asked their son's fans to keep him in their prayers, in the hopes of having him released in the very near future.
