Egyptian actress Layla Elwi has gone on the attack against rumors that have said her and her husband, Mansour Jamal, have separated, forcing her to take refuge in Dubai.
The star’s official spokesperson said that all the rumors in the press were just that, adding that they are attempts to create friction between the actress and her husband.
Al Ayn newspaper ran several articles, allegedly confirming a break-up of the couple.
Elwi’s husband has come in for severe criticism in Egypt, after the January 25 revolution, as he is a blood relative of ousted former president Hosni Mubarak.
