He revealed in the past that he had stopped smoking and gone 'cold turkey' for the sake of his infant son, Bear, with ex-girlfriend Cheryl.

And after returning to cigarettes, Liam Payne has reportedly quit once again and enlisted help from a celebrity hypnotherapist who even helped Adele.

According to reports, the former One Direction star, 25, has been using expert Max Kirsten, who has also helped Ewan McGregor.

A source told The Sun: 'Ever since becoming a new dad Liam has been determined to stop smoking.

He’s tried countless times to kick the habit himself and failed so decided to get professional help this summer.

'Liam’s loving his new life smoke free – it really seems as though he’s managed to give it up for good this time.

MailOnline has contacted Liam's representative for comment.

This isn't the first time Liam has tried to give up smoking and in 2017 during an interview with Kiss FM, he said: ‘I stopped smoking, that’s the best thing ever. Honestly, anyone out there who’s trying to stop smoking, just do it, honestly.

'I just did cold turkey, I knew my son was coming, and I was like, I’m not gonna be smoking with my son, that’s not right.’

He added: 'My life’s not my own anymore, now, it’s not mine to decide, so smoking had to go.’

Yet just months later he was spotted indulging in his old habit once again as he shot a music video for his new single Get Low on the streets of central London.

He later told the Metro: 'I will find the right time to quit. Everyone has their vices.

'Mum’s not happy about it, put it that way.'
