Egyptian singer Hamada Hilal denied rumors that production issues had forced him to halt the filming of his new television drama "Waley Al Ahd" (The Crown Prince).

Hamada denied that there had been any issues and claimed instead that they had stopped filming for a few days for set maintenance... whatever that means!

Laha magazine reports that Hilal also denied reports that his recent series of live performances had interrupted the filming of the drama, insisting that the two endeavors had not impacted each other. Well, maybe it was due to "set maintenance" after all?

The show's director Mohammad Al Naqli had completed filming most of the outdoor scenes, when he was forced to temporarily stop production pending the completion of the indoor sets.

The new drama will star Hamada, Lucy Yaser Jalal, Hajaj Abdel Atheem, Reem Al Baroudi, Edward, May Salim, Karim Abu Zaid, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra and Intisar.
