The young Syrian actress Madiha Kanifati will be starring in a number of drama productions that will be aired during the upcoming Ramadan season.
According to the London daily Elaph, Madiha will take part in a number of Bedouin series and has already finished filming her scenes for the series “Oter Al Nahar” (Scent of the Day) under the director Basam Al Masri.
Madiha will also star in the Bedouin series “Al Jamer Wa Al Rimal” (Sand And Charcoal), a Jordanian and Libyan Bedouin production.
Madiha is now filming the Bedouin series “Qabael Al Shaq” (Tribes of the East) uner the director Fayez Al Daybes. “Qabael Al Sharq” also stars Syrian actor Rashid Asaf and the famous Jordanian actress Abeer Isa. The series will be aired on Abu Dhabi channel during the upcoming Ramadan season.
Madiha turned down an offer to star in the historic drama series “Balqis” which stars Jordanian actress Saba Mubarak.
Madiha will also participate in a number of Syrian social drama series. Madiha will star in a new Syrian film, her first major motion picture. She plays the role of a young woman whose family arranges her marriage to a general’s son.
Madiha recenlty appeared in a video clip with the Iraqi artist Rida Al Abdullah.
Madiha said that appearing in a video clip did not damage or hurt her career in any way.
“It gave me a chance to become more well-known in Syrian and throughout the Arab world,’ said Madiha.
She welcomes any new project as long as it is with great celebrities that will add to her career, said Madiha.
