During an appearance on the program "100 Questions," Mai Ezz Eldin was asked about her thoughts on civil marriage or marrying someone of a different faith, similar to her Christian mother's marriage to her Muslim father.
She replied, "No, my religion doesn't allow it. I'm a very traditional person, and what I envision for myself is marrying someone from my religion who is similar to me in every way, not just in faith."
She added, "Before love, admiration is the first stage. When I find certain qualities and feelings towards this person, based on what I see, before we reach the stage of love, I know from the beginning whether they're suitable or not."

Specifications of a Life Partner
During her appearance on the program "My Guest" with journalist Moataz El-Demerdash, actress Mai Ezz Eldin spoke about the specifications of her dream man, saying, "Everyone makes a list of specifications and puts what they want in their mind, but fate is the only one who chooses."
She added, "When fate makes you love someone, you discover that they don't have any of the qualities you were looking for... and then you ask yourself: Why did I spend years changing and making a new list? Because simply put, there's no such thing."
Mai Ezz Eldin continued, "Specifications might work for people who love with their minds... but those who love with their hearts suddenly find themselves feeling something for someone without any calculation. It's not about calculation... marriage isn't about calculation, and nothing about sustenance or destiny can be measured... The right thing to do is leave it to God. If you spend your whole life making a list of your life partner, destiny will eventually come and destroy all of that, and you'll fall in love with someone who doesn't have any of those qualities."
