Mai Izz Ed Din depressed

Young Egyptian actress Mai Izz Ed Din is currently going through a period of depression over the failure of her latest film “Shikamara”, which is currently being screened in cinema houses around Egypt.  She has made it a point to remain home and not answer any of the phone calls by journalists refusing to speak to any media source.

 

Mai also refuses to hold any form of interviews with the press and did not attend the special screening for the film “Shikamara”. Due to her lack of attending, the press conference that was scheduled was called off, according to the UAE based, Al Bayan.

 

Recently Mai revealed that the film had faced numerous obstacles with the producing company, which led to it not achieving the desired profit. She also stated that the failure of the film was mainly due to the fact that there was not a proper advertising campaign to promote it.

 

In the film, Mai played the role of two characters, the first a poor girl that lives in one of the poor neighborhoods and works as a bus driver, whose married to an unemployed man who abuses her. The second character is the complete opposite and is that of a rich girl who has is completely bored with her life due to the same routine.
