Superstar Assi Helani will be joining fellow Lebanese divas Myriam Fares, Diana Haddad and Yara at the 15th annual Mawazine Festival in Rabat this year.
Assi's last performance was an electrifying one during the festival’s 12th year in 2013.
Kicking off the eight-day festival is Diana Haddad (May 20), while Assi - aka the “Knight of Arab music” - is set to perform on Wednesday, May 25.
Assi, who is currently approaching 30 years in show business, is one of the Arab world's most beloved stars. He has released several albums and enjoyed numerous number one smash hits over the years.
The well-established singer is also a judge on the Arabic version of The Voice alongside celebrity judges Sherine Abdel Wahab, Saber Rebai and Kazem el Saher.
As per previous years' format, the festival will include performances by both international and regional artists. Iraqi superstar Kadim Al Saher and American diva Christina Aguilera have so far been confirmed as headliners for this year's festival. Last year's international acts included Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5, Akon and Sting.
