Director Raed Labib has decided to re-run his play Zakiyyah Zakariyya under a new name, Lailat Al Qabd Ala Zakiyyah, costarring Majeda Al Khatib, Ghada Nafe, Yousef Daoud and Said Tarabik, along with Ibrahim Naser, who plays the character of Zakiyyah Zakariyya.
“I play the role of an unemployed man who searches for a job. I find an ad for a social supervisor at a juvenile house of correction and decide to dress in drag and apply for the job. During work I discover the corruption in the place and decide to confront it. When I’m discovered, I cross-dress for the second time until I manage to reveal the management’s corruption,” Naser told Akhbar Al Nujoom magazine.
Khatib plays the role of the house manager, feared by the children for her harshness, while Nafe plays a social worker who is aware of all violations but fears of dismissal if she talks about corruption.
After she meets Naser, she decides to cooperate with him and confront the corruption. Daoud plays the role of a corrupt doctor who trades in human body parts and who has strong ties with the house manager - Albawaba.com
