Iraqis left their worries and sorrows behind as they celebrated the beauty of their women in a glitzy and glamorous pageant this week!
Even though the competition was held in Michigan, USA, the only thing that rocked the politically-unstable country that evening was the stunning ladies' dresses and hot physiques.
14 young women, from different ethnic groups and sects, competed for the Miss Iraq-USA title, but it was Melinda Tuma, a Pharmacology student, who claimed the winning title - and a glamorous sparkling crown!
Meanwhile, first runner up went to Farah Sitto, second runner up to Lavinia Issa and third runner up to Rita Ghannam.
The competition did not only find Iraq's prettiest Queen, but it proved that there's still unity between the different races residing under its skies, reported Al Jaras magazine.
In its second consecutive year now, the event was sponsored by "Yalla Fan Productions;" owned by Joe Rasho.
The event kicked off with a dance symbolizing peace, which was performed to the song "Ghali Ya Iraq" (You're dear to us Iraq) by Lebanese composer Rabih Barood.
