Egytian actress Mina Fadali was threatened by armed thugs over a week ago but she and her family are still refusing to make any comment to the press. There are now rumors that Mina was sexually assaulted during the incident but her friend, ballet dancer Ahmed Yahia said not according to him.
Still, clearly Mina has been traumatized after she and Yahia were approached by six armed men who stole her car and 50 Egyptian Pounds ($8000 US) and beat her at gunpoint. According to Yahia, the pair were discussing a new work project together when the men appeared. Both Mina and Ahmed have given their statements to police but the actress is still refusing to comment publicly.
According to Mina's statement, the men were talking in a Bedouin accent said they were going to take her car to Gaza Palestine. She added that the men said the car would be returned for an agreed on amount of money.
