Egyptian actress Muna Zaki is planning an intimate gathering with family and close friends to celebrate her engagement to the young comedy star Ahmed Hilmi.

The two began seeing each other when they appeared together in Omar 2000 and Leih Khalletni Ahibbak (Why Did You Make Me Love You?). Then the relationship developed into love, and that led to the engagement. The wedding will take place next winter.

“I preferred to rush the engagement before I become busy with the my new play Kidah Wa Kidah, which will be staged next Thursday, in which I will star along with Ahmed Al Saqqa, Sharif Munir and Hani Ramzi,” Zaki told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.

She added that the bridegroom was keen to attend rehearsals every night despite the fact that he had no role in the play.

Zaki announced a few weeks ago that she was in love and would get married, but she did not reveal the name of the anticipated husband.

Hilmi started his career as an announcer at the Egyptian satellite channel and is famed for his program Shaqawet Eyal. He later left his job to allocate all of his time to acting. He has performed in a number of comedy films. His film Ashab Walla Business (Friends Or Business) is being screened now, in addition to his performance in the play Hakim Uyoon (Ophthalmologist) along with Alaa Waley Eddin.

Zaki is also celebrating being passed to the final class at the Media College - Albawaba.com
