In the past months, Lebanese singer Najwa Karam had vowed never to film any of her songs in the form of a music video, but it was revealed that the singer has just completed the shooting of a new clip for a new song under the direction of Saeed Al Marouq. Karam will the new hit single composed by Wisam Almeer, which tackles the economical and social conditions in Lebanon. The singer did not reveal why she decided to release a single song before launching her album.
Najwa's previous decision of not filming her songs came after the failure of her last music video for the song “Iw’a Itkoun Za’ilit” (I Hope Your are not Upset), which did not witness any interest among viewers or even herself.
According to the London based Elaph, Najwa recently held two performances in Dubai and Kuwait, which were marked with success. Karam is in the process of preparing for her upcoming album, which is to be produced by Rotana Music Production Company, and has already chosen the songs after holding extensive work sessions with numerous composers and poets. The singer revealed that her new album will be ready for release by spring 2004.
Najwa announced that she will include many surprises in her album, like a new style of singing that she has never used before. She added that she will still include the style her fans are use to but with alterations wanting to present something new for her audience. – Albawaba.com
