In her first movie "The Dutch Experience" alongside prominent Egyptian comedian Adel Imam, Lebanese singer/actress Nicole Saba admits that she has stepped into the world of celebrities. Nicole revealed that she enjoyed her first acting experience with Adel, who told her that she has got the potential to succeed in the world of acting.
According to the Saudi based daily, Okaz, Nicole admitted that Adel gave her a push forward to go on to establish a new career in acting in addition to her original career as a singer. Nicole added that she learned a lot from all the notes given by Imam, saying that the story of the movie was bold yet not dull. She stressed that she did her role as a foreign girl and she acted as one. Nicole uttered that she did not come up with anything new regarding her clothes worn in the movie, saying that in all Arab movies since the sixties actresses were wearing revealing dresses and bathing suits, so what she wore was nothing out of the ordinary.
With regards to her looks, Nicole noted that it is true that her outer appearance was a great factor in her receiving the role in the film and that the whole story revolved around a beautiful girl. But she added that she added all her creative powers to the role the thing that made all her fans see her as a potentially successful actress and not just a beautiful face and body.
Nicole concluded that she received many offers to participate in other movies but she will focus her energy on her upcoming album. She added that she wants to give her first movie a chance to receive its fair chance of success in the entire Arab world as it did in Egypt.
Lebanese singer and actress Nicole Saba, had never expected to face such success in Egypt after being a successful model and singer in her home country Lebanon. Nicole recently acted alongside one of the most famous comedians in the Arab world, Egyptian actor Adel Imam, in his latest movie "A Dutch Experience", and is currently working on releasing a new music album.
During an interview with Nicole, she revealed that the acting experience with Adel Imam was very rich and she still can not believe how lucky she was to be chosen by the prominent movie star. She added that Adel taught her that art is devotion and hard work, which has come to be a passion more than an ordinary job, reported the London based Elaph. The actress stressed that she will not limit herself to one style of acting nor one profession.
Nicole added that she considers her first acting experience to be very successful, and she thinks that people are really convinced with her acting abilities, stressing that some actresses depend only on their physical appearance and not on talent.
With regards to her over revealing herself in the film, she simply said that she did not wear anything that she would not wear in her daily life, asserting that all Lebanese people admire art, fashion, and beauty. Nicole stressed that she had to appear in a swimsuit and a belly dancing outfit because these scenes were necessary and an essential part of the film, stating that she was not the first or the last actress to wear such outfits in cinema.
The movie [Dutch Experience] has hit high numbers of income from the first day it was released. It gained 12 million US dollars in the first week it was released in Egypt. The same kind of success was also witnessed in Beirut.
Imam had previously challenged the whole pubic, saying that no one can do this part better than Nicole. The thing that made her feel a great responsibility towards her work. She also articulated that tens of scripts have been offered to her after her movie, but she does not want to repeat her self, so she is reading all of them carefully. Nicole noted that this was one of the reasons she turned down an offer to participate in the movie (Bahithat ‘An Alhoriyah) "Seekers of freedom" under the direction of Enas Al Dughaidi. Nicole announced that she is concentrating these days on her new music album produced by Alam Alfan, which she hopes to release in the near future. –Albawaba.com
