Perhaps she knows that we've just about reached our limit in the region for talent shows. Yet another one is starting up, but despite what you may have heard, Wafa Amer won't be on it. The Egyptian actress and her husband were offered positions as judges on "Arab Actor", which is scheduled to air exclusively on the Egyptian satellite network Al Hayat.
Middle East news portal Elaph reports that the judging committee for the program will instead feature artists Riyadh Al Khouly and Mohammad Abu Dawood, scenarist Hussam Musa and director Mohammad Al Najjar with Majdi Subhi and young journalist Salma playing host.
Al Hayat is placing the final touches on the first episode of the program that presents scenes from old films to groups of young cotnestants who will attempt to act them out. The most talented group will win the big prize.
